报告摘要：Cloud computing is an increasingly important solution for providing services deployed in dynamically scalable cloud networks. Services in the cloud computing networks may be virtualized with specific servers which host abstracted details. Some of the servers are active and available, while others are busy or heavy loaded, and the remaining are offline for various reasons. Users would expect the right and available servers to complete their application requirements. Therefore, in order to provide an effective control scheme with parameter guidance for cloud resource services.This presentation explores cloud-based computing properties with relation to the actual and automatic cloud computing networks, and proposes three kinds of general analysis methods to satisfy user requirements: (1) Cloud-based Machine Learning for Medical Data, (2) Cloud-based Tele-health, and (3) Rainfall Estimation Systems. Based on these general methods, we carry out actual and extensive experiments to compare the quality of service performance between our schemes and several other existing schemes. Our experimental results demonstrate that our schemes can adjust control parameters to obtain better services.  Such schemes hope to be extensively applied to industrial and commercial usage.

报告人简介：
熊乃学教授 在日本北陆先端科学技术大学院大学 获得博士学位。先后在美国佐治亚州立大学、美国科罗拉多理工大学等任教十多年。2006年获得海外留学优秀博士论文奖，2008年获得中国百优和中国计算机学会优秀博士学位论文奖提名，在IEEE JSAC、IEEE Transactions, ACM Transactions, Information Science、IEEE INFOCOM、IEEE LCN、IEEE IPDPS 等杂志期刊以及国际会议上发表多篇论文，包括期刊论文300多篇。
    熊乃学教授已在近百个重大国际大会上任大会总主席，程序委员会主席，分会主席，指导或程序委员会委员，例如 Infocomm, IPDPS, CloudComputing, ICA3PP, 3PGCIC, ICISE, ICISE, PICom和UNC等。他是IEEE 可信云计算委员会主席（Chair of Trust Cloud Computing），曾担任美国IEEE计算机学会可扩展计算秘书长（IEEE Technical Committee on Scalable Computing (IEEE TCSC)）。也是美国IEEE计算机学会 IEEE-CS Technical Committee on Parallel Processing (TCPP)，IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS): Intelligent Systems Applications，IEEE Computer Society的高级会员。他也是国际核心期刊 Journal of Internet Technology (JIT, SCIE检索) 和 Journal of parallel and cloud computing (PCC, 第1个云期刊) 的主编， 国际核心期刊 Information Science （影响因子3.6，SCI）和 国际核心期刊 IEEE Transactions on Systems, men, cybernetic: systems 的副主编，中国核心期刊软件学报的编辑。也是其它十多个国际期刊的编辑，被邀请给近100个期刊做为作客编辑，包括ACM Survey, IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions On Mobile Computing等。主要研究方向有：云计算、容错安全系统、移动计算与无线网络、高性能计算等。
    熊乃学教授应邀在二十多个学术研讨会上作了主题演讲(keynote speech), 并在美国和许多世界著名大学作了多个应邀学术报告, 其中包括美国Temple大学、中科院、上海交通大学、及清华大学等。熊乃学博士已与美国、加拿大、日本、澳大利亚、欧洲、中国等地的教授及研究员进行了广泛的合作研究。
